Project: Fish Creek Comprehensive Groundwater Model
Location: Teton Village, WY
Date: 2004
Goal:
To collect appropriate water quantity data to model fluctuating groundwater and stream flow levels to determine their effects on planned restoration and development projects.

Description:
A monitoring network of 30 shallow automated groundwater wells, 14 piezometers, 3 traditional wells and 4 stream gauges was used to provide calibration data for a MOD-FLOW groundwater model. Monitoring and modeling results were used to:

• Predict seasonal fluctuations and heights of the groundwater table.
• Predict seasonal fluctuations and flows of stream features.
• Predict the impact of lined v. unlined water features on adjacent water levels.
• Predict the impact of golf course water features on flows in an adjacent spring creek.
• Identify groundwater flow paths to try to isolate potentially contaminated groundwater from a Class 1 surface water.
• Identify water availability and levels for constructed wetlands.
