Centennial Valley - Arctic Grayling Habitat
IMA partnered with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks to create suitable habitat for establishing a conservation population of Arctic Grayling in the Centennial Valley.
The spawning channels contain backwater areas to increase Grayling fry survival
Gravel sizes ideal for Grayling spawning were imported and placed in riffle areas
Revegetation success after one growing season
Conservation population of Arctic Grayling stocked into the system by MTFWP. These fish will reach sexual maturity in 3-4 years and will begin to use the in stream spawning habitat.
